LHVs are the backbone of community-level maternal and child health in Pakistan. Government runs Basic Health Units (BHUs) across every union council — and every BHU needs LHVs.
Beyond government postings, LHVs work in maternity hospitals, family planning clinics, NGOs, and EPI / MNCH programs. Many also start their own small maternity practice in their own community.
EIRA conducts NEBP board exams on schedule — students complete the program in 2 years and start earning on time, instead of waiting 6–12 months for a delayed session, which is common at many other LHV institutes.
EIRA's LHV program is taught by senior nurses and midwives with 20+ years of community-health experience, including practical fieldwork rounds.
A Lady Health Visitor (LHV) is a community-level female healthcare worker focused on maternal and child health, family planning, and immunization. The 2-year LHV diploma trains women to work in BHUs, maternity hospitals, and government MNCH programs across Pakistan.
EIRA Institute LHV admission fee is Rs 20,000 (one-time) and monthly fee is Rs 10,000. Additional council and board fees: PNC registration Rs 11,000, NEBP Lahore exam-board fee Rs 9,000, Year 1 examination Rs 9,000. Year 2 adds board registration Rs 12,000 and examination Rs 9,000.

LHV graduates are hired by Government BHUs (one in every union council), Rural Health Centers, maternity hospitals, family planning clinics, and government EPI/MNCH programs. Salary at entry-level government grade is roughly Rs 35,000–55,000 plus allowances.
Yes — EIRA Institute LHV students are registered with PNC and sit the National Examination Board for Paramedical (NEBP) Lahore exam. The diploma is recognized for government BHU and hospital postings.
LHV is broader community health focused (maternal-child health + family planning + immunization). CMW is specialized midwifery — prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care. CMW has stronger abroad pathways (UK, Australia, Canada); LHV has stronger government BHU pathways within Pakistan.
